朗读者简介

贾文文，曲阜实验学校小学部教师，热爱英语，热爱生活。2015年参加工作，曾获曲阜市初中英语基本功一等奖，曲阜市教学工作先进个人，“一师一优课”济宁市优课等荣誉。

导语

教师的职业是崇高的，教育的事业是伟大的。教师用彩笔辛勤耕耘，用汗水浇灌祖国的花朵。然而，当今社会，教师面对着来自于各方的压力。作为教师，该如何来进行自我调节，不断提高自己的素质水平，从而保持内心的平静与快乐呢？

Time does fly! It has been 8 years ever since I became an English teacher. The past 8 years have witnessed both wonderful days and tough moments. Whatever happens, there is one thing always in my mind: be a happy teacher and be a happy person. Then how can I do that? Here are some tips for me and for my dear fellows.

First of all, be a warm teacher and love all the students. Just as the famous saying goes, no two leaves could be exactly the same, even if they came from the same tree. Each student is an individual and has unique characters. Never should we measure students using the same standards. Smile and encouragement from teachers are more effective than criticism. Students will respect the caring and warm teachers and treat them as their friends.

Furthermore, keep balance between work and life. This is a difficult task. However, nothing is impossible if we’re healthy, positive and efficient. We should be healthy both physically and mentally, so we can have enough energy to deal with the challenges in work and life.  Be good at making plans and making full use of time. Don’t waste time being lazy and anxious. Work diligently and have a thorough rest. Try our best to live a full life.

Last but not least, be a lifelong learner. As food to the body, so is learning to the mind. As a teacher, we should keep learning day by day to maintain our mental power and keep pace with the times. Read for half an hour before going to sleep. Spend more time searching online for meaningful information rather than being glued to useless short videos. Improve the professional level of being an English teacher. If you want, there are sufficient ways to learn. And if you do, you must have an interesting and happy life.

From now on, let’s try to be peaceful and happy every day, which will not only benefit ourselves but can influence others as well.
