Author Instruction
【官网信息】
CHINA WELDING is an international, peer-reviewed journal that is interested in publishing high quality scientific studies in the field of welding materials, welding procedure,welding equipment, technologies and methods of welding principle,measurement and control technology, cutting and spraying and so on.
Submission of a manuscript must be the original work of the author(s) and has not been published elsewhere or under consideration for another publication,or a substantially similar form in any other language.Research articles and review articles have no page limit.An APC will be payable once a manuscript is accepted.The fee standard is 500 yuan / page.
Title:The title of the paper should be concise but informative.
Author name(s):A list of all authors & institutions should be provided on the title page, including the corresponding author’s E-mail address. Authors’names should be given in a consistent form on all publications to facilitate indexing.
A corresponding author should be indicated. Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of review and publication,and also post-publication. Ensure corresponding author’s E-mail address must be kept up to date.
Abstract:The abstract should be no longer than 300 words. It should be informative, without descriptive words or citations, and contain major conclusions and quantitative results or other significant items in the paper. Together with the title, the abstract must be an adequate summary to all the subjects treated in the paper, and will be used as a base for indexing.
Key words:Provide a maximum of 6 keywords beneath the abstract.
Mathematics:Variables should appear in italic. Vectors should appear in bold italic. Capital and lower-case letters should be distinguished clearly where there could be a confusion. Fractional exponents should be used to avoid root signs. Extra symbols should be introduced to avoid complicated exponents or where it is necessary to repeat a complicated expression a number of times. Slash (/) should be used wherever possible for fractions. Mathematical derivation should be omitted if it can be easily found in other literature.
Notation:Notation must be legible, clear, concise, and consistent with standard usage. Uncommon symbols where the meaning may not be obvious, including subscript or superscript, must be made comprehensible. Physical and mathematical variables should be in italic, vectors in boldface. Units, abbreviations and special functions should be upright. Please add notes to explain any other special symbols.
Units:Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI). If other quantities are mentioned, the equivalents in SI shall be provided.
Figures
Format:High-resolution figures must be provided in the manuscript submission.
1.Image Size:An image intended for the journal's double column format (i.e., an image to fit into the space of a single column on the 2-column layout), should be sized to 6.5 cm. Images submitted for a layout that spans full columns (i.e., an image that will occupy the full-page width) should be sized to 13.5 cm, and compound figures should have a maximum width of 15 cm. In figures, the main lines should be about 0.3 mm in width, and the assistant lines 0.15 mm. Notations in figures should be distinct and consistent with the same ones in the text, and their font size will be 8-13px.
2.Image Resolution:Line drawings and graphs must have a resolution of at least 1200 dpi when they are exported. Photographs and micrographs must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (600 dpi if there is text or line art in the figure).Lower-resolution images will not be reproduced properly and will not be accepted.
3.Color:Submit color graphics in CMYK format; the colors chosen should be easy to reproduce and the colors should be distinguishable when printed in black and white; The descriptions of figures in text and captions must be sufficiently clear for both online and print copy.
Samples:
1.Data graph:
(1). All ticks should be at the inner side of coordinates; points calibration should be removed.
(2). Titles of coordinates should be in format of“Quality/unit”,such as“Intensity (a.u.), 2θ/ (deg.)”;
(3). All fonts should be“Arial”;
(4). The graph should be framed with four axes;
(5). The first letter should be capital for the words in the figures,such as“Current density”.
2.Photograph:The first letter should be capital for the word in the figures,such as“Corrosion products”

Tables
The table title,which should be brief, is placed above the table.A detailed description of its contents or table footnotes should be given directly below the body of the table.

References
References must be published literature, and numbered consecutively in order of their first citation. References should be listed at the end of the text and indicated in the text with a superscript number in square brackets. All of the authors, as well as the titles of the reference articles should be given. It is strongly recommended that authors try to cite the recently published articles. Here are some examples of how to set the most common reference types:
