01出版平台变更与OA转型
为不断提升出版成果的国际显示度,aBIOTECH将于2026年1月起,转至爱思唯尔(Elsevier)以金色OA模式出版。新的投审稿系统将于2025年7月18日正式开放,接收全球投稿。
自2025年7月17日起,原系统不再接收新投稿,所有已投稿件处于正常处理状态。

About the journal
Aims and scope
The aims of aBIOTECH, as a peer-reviewed journal, are two-fold: The first is to publish seminal articles, which then serve to focus the relevant research communities to achieve the development of superior agroecosystems globally. Priority will be given to publication of articles presenting research findings having the potential to advance agricultural production through the development and application of novel biotechnology- and/or genome-based systems, to crop and animal breeding programs, and to engineering of soil-microbiome agroecosystems.
The second is to foster community engagement at the regional, national, and international level, to include business, politics, and society in order to foster appreciation for the capacity of modern agrobiotechnology/genomics-empowered strategies for revolutionizing breeding programs, which have the capacity to ensure the availability of adequate nutritious foods to feed the growing global population. This aim will be accomplished by dialogue, presented as front matter in the journal, and through journal-sponsored activities, including workshops and training activities; public lectures; and outreach to researchers, educators, government bodies, and companies. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to
Transgene and genome-editing technologies and applications: Advanced transgene or genome-editing technologies or methodologies; applications of transgene or genome editing in genetic improvement of agriculturally important traits, which otherwise are impossible by conventional breeding; commercialization of modified or gene-edited crops/livestock for agricultural production; safety and regulatory affairs/policies.
Metabolic engineering: Synthesis of bioactive natural products, including study of their metabolic networks and functions, using both genetic and synthetic biology approaches.
Technologies for disease control: Developmental, physiological, biochemical, and technological studies and innovative strategies relevant to disease control in crop or livestock production systems.
Genomics and breeding: Genome, pan-genome, and metagenome studies; multi-omics data mining approaches; intelligent design breeding theory, approaches, and practice; and innovative analytical/bioinformatics tools/methods, with the potential to advance crop and livestock breeding programs.
Root-Soil-Microbiome agroecosystems: Targeted breeding and engineering of essential root biology and associated microbiome traits directed to enhance crop performance under sub-optimal soil abiotic and/or biotic conditions.
