Guide for Authors
The International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives draws together the many aspects of the science and technology of organic polymeric adhesive materials, from fundamental research and development work to industrial applications. Subject areas covered include: interfacial interactions, surface chemistry, methods of testing, accumulation of test data on physical and mechanical properties, environmental effects, new adhesive materials, sealants, design of bonded joints, and manufacturing technology. The IJAA also welcomes research and reviews on technologies related to hard and soft tissue adhesion of dental and biomedical materials. The IJAA does NOT deal with soldering and welding. The above list is not exhaustive but the editors will reject any proposed papers which they consider to outside the scope of the journal. Types of paper
Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication:
•Original high-quality research papers (preferably 3000 to 5000 words in double line spaced manuscript pages.
•Review Papers.
•NB Short communications [less than 3000 words] will not be accepted.

The Journal also welcomes papers related to the dental and medical adhesion theme. To submit your work, or for more information please contact:Professor William Palin, The School of Dentistry, College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, St Chad's Queensway, Birmingham, B4 6NN,UK; w.m.palin@bham.ac.uk who is the Subject Editor for Biomedical Materials Adhesion
Submission
You should submit your manuscript by e-mail as a single file. If the file is larger than 10Mb, please submit it in pdf format. [If accepted, your paper will need to be transmitted to the publisher as a single Word file]. Submit to one editor only and it will be passed to the correct editor internally if necessary.
