惊蛰春雷响，万物皆兴旺。这春风和煦，草木萌发，万物蓬勃盎然，充满朝气与希望的季节。为全面提升我市小学英语教育教学质量，增强教师教学基本功，强化语音培训效果，优化教师语音素养，教师教育发展服务中心陈儒亭主任精心组织了首届全市小学英语教师“英语朗读者”评比展示活动。
英语的美如何呈现？英语教师的魅力如何体现？教英语首先应该教好什么？学英语首先应该学好什么？让我们回归本真，朔源而上！
语言之美主要体现在语音的准确性和节奏的韵律感，只有在朗读中，在自然地道的语流里才能更好地展示出清晰规范的语音和抑扬顿挫的节奏，才能更好地体现出语言表达的准确、生动，贴切、入心。英语朗读通过重音、连读、节奏、语调等技巧把语言材料中的思想感情表达出来，作为教师，更要不断提高朗读水平。朗读在常规教学中对提高学生学习英语的兴趣起着至关重要的作用，因此，英语教师务必做到发音准确，语流流畅，语调自然，通过自身的良好示范潜移默化地帮助学生打好英语学习的基础。
本次活动的主题是“I am an English Teacher”，参与者主要包括近两年优质课和教学基本功等专业比赛的一等奖获得者及学科中心组成员等教师。36位老师经过精心的准备，或将自己的从教经历娓娓道来；或分享自己的教育感悟引人深思，形式多样的风格把我们带入了一个多彩的英语世界。

毕贞洋，中共党员。2016年参加工作，任教于济宁学院第二附属小学。任教以来，组织开展了多项英语教学活动，英语教学成绩优异。曾获济宁市“一师一优课、一课一名师”活动优课，济宁市优质课一等奖，2020年度曲阜市基础教育教学成果奖，2020年度济宁市基础教育教学成果一等奖。

Hello, everybody! My name is Bruce! I work in a school with more than 100 years of history in Qufu. It's a great honor to share my story with you. Today my topic is “I am an English Teacher”.
In September, 2016, my first flag-raising ceremony of a new term was held. I was totally moved by the lovely “Hello, teacher” from the primary students. At that time, I thought this might be the rest of my life! However, it was my very first time to be a primary school teacher.
As expected, I met a lot of difficulties. The kids were just shouting all the time! They were crying “Mr Bi, he…”, but I never found a reason! They were playing anytime and anywhere, never calming down!
I still remember when they failed the first test, how worried I was. An aged teacher found my worry and suggested: “To make the children calm down, you can praise the good ones but never criticize the bad ones. Don’t worry, young man, you can do it!”
It was magic! It worked! All students were under control immediately by using praise! Finally, I found the wisdom to be a teacher! That is love.
As time goes by, we had a lot of fun together! To make them love English, I organized Spelling Contest, English Story-telling Contest, English Calligraphy Contest etc. To know more about students, I applied to be the head teacher of a class. And as a head teacher, I also organized many activities to help the students develop comprehensively. We even shot an MV of our class. These were all memories that would never be forgotten!
A famous saying goes: a teacher is one with both high knowledge and moral integrity. To be a great teacher, I still have a long way to go. But, I love to learn! After work, I always read books on teaching or watch teaching videos. I never imagined that my students would be so influenced by me. Some of them even wrote about my diligence in their tests. The most important thing is that they made a progress in English learning and they grew a passion for English. Now, they are middle school students. I heard that many of them take the leading position in English tests. How proud I am!
To teach is to learn. To be a good teacher is to be a good learner. I will spare no effort to learn and to teach! Thank you all for listening! Goodbye!
