感受英语之美,尽享朗读之乐 —— 曲阜市“英语朗读者”作品展示(二十一)

惊蛰春雷响,万物皆兴旺。这春风和煦,草木萌发,万物蓬勃盎然,充满朝气与希望的季节,是审慎筹划的季节。为全面提升我市小学英语教育教学质量,增强教师教学基本功,强化语音培训效果,优化教师语音素养,教师教育发展服务中心陈儒亭主任精心组织了首届全市小学英语教师“英语朗读者”评比展示活动。

英语的美如何呈现?英语教师的魅力如何体现?教英语首先应该教好什么?学英语首先应该学好什么?让我们回归本真,朔源而上!

语言之美主要体现在语音的准确性和节奏的韵律感,只有在朗读中,在自然地道的语流里才能更好地展示出清晰规范的语音和抑扬顿挫的节奏,才能更好地体现出语言表达的准确、生动,贴切、入心。英语朗读通过重音、连读、节奏、语调等技巧把语言材料中的思想感情表达出来,作为教师,更要不断提高朗读水平。朗读在常规教学中对提高学生学习英语的兴趣起着至关重要的作用,因此,英语教师务必做到发音准确,语流流畅,语调自然,通过自身的良好示范潜移默化地帮助学生打好英语学习的基础。

本次活动的主题是I am an English Teacher”,参与者主要包括近两年优质课和教学基本功等专业比赛的一等奖获得者及学科中心组成员等教师。36位老师经过精心的准备,或将自己的从教经历娓娓道来;或分享自己的教育感悟引人深思,形式多样的风格把我们带入了一个多彩的英语世界。

朗读者简介

段立娇,石门山镇中心小学教师。她在工作中注重培养学生学习兴趣,让学生真正体验英语学习的乐趣,教学成绩优异。先后获得曲阜市优质课一等奖、教学基本功一等奖、济宁市教育教学工作先进个人等荣誉。

段老师结合自己曾经在学习英语中遇到的问题,在英语教学中注重从学生实际出发,培养学生运用语言的能力,设计丰富多彩的活动让学生感受英语学习的乐趣,从而真正的爱上英语!段老师在传授英语专业知识的同时,更加注重提升学生英语各项技能,从而避免重蹈学习“哑巴式英语”的覆辙!

Good morning, everyone! My name is Duan Lijiao, Im from Shi MenShan Central Primary School. Im glad to share my story with you.

I was lucky enough to be an English teacher about ten years ago. I am proud to be an English teacher, not because teachers are compared to the engineer of the human soulor the most glorious profession under the sun, but because I can share my English knowledge with my students.

I still remember, in my first year on the job, taking over a fifth-grade class whose English was being taught by a PE teacher. When I gave them the first lesson, I introduced myself by sayingHello, everyone. My names Cherry. I am your new English teacher. Nice to meet you!But no one responded, because they couldnt understand what I was saying. It reminded me that the first time I had a foreign class in college, I couldnt understand what the foreign teacher was saying , because my primary school English was taught by a PE teacher,too. That is very common in rural schools, because there is no professional English teachers , and English is not valued at all.

I can score 130 in English in the college entrance examination, but I cant pass the oral test of foreign teacher again and again. I can write, but I cant speak. Just like the kids in front of me cant even understand  Nice to meet you!because weve been learning Dumb English.

I needed to do something to help them. I gave each student an English name, and at first everyone was shy to call English name, but gradually we got used to it. I set up an English corner in the classroom to show excellent English works and English picture books. Occasionally we watched some classic Disney cartoons. I encouraged my students to introduce themselves in English. In the morning reading, they took turns to be the little teacher to lead the reading. I designed colorful activities and tried to provide opportunities for students to speak English. Gradually they became more and more confident and willing to speak English. I really feel happy especially when they say Class is over so soon!and ask me if they have another English lesson today, and when they greet meGood morning, Cherry!” “How are you, Cherry?in the schoolyard.

I think for me, I dont only teach them, I like them, I encourage them, I challenge them but also I feel so proud of them. You know what, they teach me too! They teach me to be patient. They teach me to be supportive and they teach me to see them as who they are. I feel so lucky and happy to be their English teacher!
