冬天是积蓄酝酿的季节,是孕育希望的季节,是激发灵感的季节,是审慎筹划的季节。为全面提升我市小学英语教育教学质量,增强教师教学基本功,强化语音培训效果,优化教师语音素养,教师教育发展服务中心陈儒亭主任精心组织了首届全市小学英语教师“英语朗读者”评比展示活动。
英语的美如何呈现?英语教师的魅力如何体现?教英语首先应该教好什么?学英语首先应该学好什么?让我们回归本真,朔源而上!
语言之美主要体现在语音的准确性和节奏的韵律感,只有在朗读中,在自然地道的语流里才能更好地展示出清晰规范的语音和抑扬顿挫的节奏,才能更好地体现出语言表达的准确、生动,贴切、入心。英语朗读通过重音、连读、节奏、语调等技巧把语言材料中的思想感情表达出来,作为教师,更要不断提高朗读水平。朗读在常规教学中对提高学生学习英语的兴趣起着至关重要的作用,因此,英语教师务必做到发音准确,语流流畅,语调自然,通过自身的良好示范潜移默化地帮助学生打好英语学习的基础。
本次活动的主题是“I am an English Teacher”,参与者主要包括近两年优质课和教学基本功等专业比赛的一等奖获得者及学科中心组成员等教师。36位老师经过精心的准备,或将自己的从教经历娓娓道来;或分享自己的教育感悟引人深思,形式多样的风格把我们带入了一个多彩的英语世界。

导语
本文主要介绍了两件对自己印象最深刻的事情。其一,是作为新教师由最开始的茫然无措,到在孩子们的信任和支持下逐渐适应工作,并陪伴孩子们度过美好的小学时光。其二,是第一次当班主任时,在其他老师的帮助下,通过自己的不断摸索,逐渐取得孩子们的信任,并与孩子们一起组建了团结友爱的大家庭。

I am an English teacher. I am a teacher who's ordinary but strives to be a better one.
When I first stepped into this school seven years ago, excitement and worry came to me at the same time. I was excited because I never faced up with so many smiling faces. I was worried for my lack of experience. After all, to live peacefully with so many kids, who were only nine years old is not an easy thing. They were energetic and vigorous all the time, especially some naughty boys who always pretended to speak loudly or play tricks in class. Sometimes I felt rather tired and even afraid to give them lessons. However, much to my surprise, they loved me and they loved my class! “I felt confident and relaxed in your class, and you brought us into a magic world that is quite different from ours.”One of the naughty boys told me one day. His words warmed me and encouraged me to carry on. After that we learned together for another three years, and I watched them growing up from naughty kids to modest youngsters. At present, whenever I think of those kids, their smiling faces and encouraging words still provide me with powers to carry on.
Last year, I became a teacher in charge of Grade Five. When I heard the news for the first time, I felt excited and also a little bit worried. Although I have been a teacher for several years, managing a class all by myself is far away from me. That means I need to care more about their lives, their safeties, and even their families, besides their studies. At the very beginning, I turned to the experienced teachers and sought advice from them. Then I took part in the activities together with my students. Gradually they became believing in me and our relationship became closer and closer. In our class, everyone respected each other and loved each other. Whenever we met problems, I let my students to judge, to put forward suggestions, and to make decisions.
I love my students and I feel honored to be a member of this class. This is me, an English teacher, ordinary but strives to be better.
