Next week, we’ll exchange our ideas on learning, sports and cultures. First of all, our studying in the same classroom and living in the same dormitory will lead to a fabulous recognition. The playground will witness a fierce match of basketball or football, and a sports meeting is scheduled to be held in our school where we’ll compete with each other. In the end, we are going to hold a Chinese speech contest to arouse our interest in Chinese.

A Chinese Classic Recitation Competition
Last Friday afternoon, our school witnessed a Chinese Classic Recitation Competition at the first lecture hall to encourage us students to appreciate Chinese culture. Representatives of each class took an active part in the competition.
Participants were required to recite a Chinese classic within five minutes. Many classic works were recited, among which poems were the most popular choice. After a hot competition, the first ten winners were chosen and given/awarded prizes at different levels.
The competition offered a wonderful opportunity for us to have a better understanding of Chinese classics, stiring up our further love for Chinese culture.
