同译不同意：SCI写作中原因连词Because与Since/As的区别与用法

在英文中，同样我们会通过语气重音的落脚点区别传达自己的重点，有时，强调的重点不同选用的词语也会不一样。今天我们就来讲解常用的Because、Since、As的区别与用法。

均译为“因为”，引导原因状语从句。这也是我们所共知的，在以往使用中经常将其作为同义替换。

Because强调原因，注意在正式的书写中，不要单独使用Because来作为主句。

In 1998, the government introduced a new import tax. Because people were importing cars from abroad.           ❎

Since/As强调结果，更书面化、正式化；

当它们位于句首时，需使用逗号把主句和从句隔开;

而当它们位于句中时，就需要注意Since引导的从句，需用逗号与主句隔开，而as引导从句不要用逗号隔开。

Since /As factor A inhiits tumor growth in animal model, it represntes a promising anti-tumor agent.

Factor A represents a promising anti-tumor agent, since it inhibits tumor growth in animal model.

Factor A represents a promising anti-tumor agent as it inhibits tumor growth in animal model.

从语法上而言，他们彼此之间替换似乎没有什么太大问题，但SCI是非常讲究逻辑性的，究竟是想要强调其原因，还是你想强调结果，从而导致你下一步的选择，你的用词选择可能会告诉编辑答案，减少他们对你整体思路的困惑。
