关于用英语写论文这事儿，小伙伴们说法各异，有人说很容易，不就是主谓宾写句子嘛，大家可都是混过了六级的人。有人说很难，毕竟以前写英语作文的时候字数基本靠凑，说白了对自己的英语水平没信心。不用担心，SCI写作并不是难以触摸的美丽，跟着猫老师就能把英语写作化难为简！
写作的关键是表达准确，并不是语法没错就万事大吉的。下面给大家列举了一些正反面教材，前一句表达欠妥，谁要是这么用绝对是要被审稿人心里默默嘲笑的，如何减轻审稿人负担，给你的文章留下好印象？可以看看后一句，力争实际情况中表达更加准确。
1. 不要特意使用高级词汇，适合就好
Thus, xxx signaling pathway may represent a novel target for the treatment of xxx；
Thus, xxx signaling pathway could be a novel target for the treatment of xxx.
represent一般接一些抽象的事物，而target是一种具体的事物。
2. 时态
Therefore, the goal of this study was to demonstrate xxx；
Therefore, the goal of this study is to demonstrate xxx.
总结文章的结论或目的用一般现在时。
3. 单复数
Our data demonstrates that xxx plays a role in xxx；
Our data demonstrate that xxx plays a role in xxx.
data本身是复数。
Decreased mRNA level of xxx was observed in xxx；
Decreased mRNA levels of xxx were observed in xxx.
具体情况具体分析，一个分子的mRNA水平当重复实验不止一次时用复数形式。
Ligation and puncture in miceresult in xxx；
Ligation and puncture in miceresults in xxx.
有的情况比如小鼠造模过程，Ligation和puncture可以是一个过程的不同动作，只有完整的两个动作才能造成最后的结果的时候，后面的动词应该用单数resultsin，表示这两个名词的动作是一个整体。如果and左右的两个名词都能因此最后的结果，那么动词就应该用复数形式resultin，表示两个名词是分开的情况。
4. 语句完整，不要让读者猜意思
xxx mediates xxx and downstream signaling，
xxx mediates xxx and the subsequent downstream signaling events.
当研究具体的信号通路时需要指代清楚。2.时态
5. 当表达细胞在某处聚集
Cells surrounding the xxx were increased；
The number of cells surrounding the xxx was increased.
细胞本身是不能increase的，就好比不能说a people increases，所以要讲清楚是细胞数目增加，而且因为主语是number，所以动词用单数形式was。
6. Identify用法
mRNA analysis of xxx, identified significant increases of xxx；
mRNA analysis of xxx, showed significant increases of xxx.
identify的实施者一般是人，所以这里用show就行，不需要特意使用高级的词，以免用错。
7. 当一个表达增加是因为另一个表达降低的时候
Increase、decrease最好不要出现在同一句子中，可以恰当使用高级词汇:
The increase in the expression of xxx was decreased after xxx treatment；
The increase in the expression of xxx was abrogated upon xxx treatment.
abrogate（废除，取消）和decrease（减少）意思不完全一样，需要具体体会要表达的意思。
reduced increase和reduced elevation，
increase和elevate基本可以互换使用。
8. 表达两个结果说明的问题保持一致，不冲突
This finding was in agreementwith xxx；
This finding was consistent with xxx.
in agreement with一般有一种主观意愿在参与两件事情，使其保持一致，论文中多用consistent。
9. 短语拜访顺序
RT-PCR analysis of xxx mRNA levels showed a higher expression in xxx than in xxx；
RT-PCR analysis showed a higher expression level of xxx mRNA in xxx than in xxx.
两句都没错，但是明显后面一句更合理。
The role for xxx was confirmed by demonstrating that xxx treatment affected something. 虽然语法没错但是有种刻意为了一个结果而做某实验的感觉，会让读者有不舒服的感觉。
xxx treatment affected something,indicating the role for xxx. 先描述一个实验结果，再解释这个结果说明了什么，就是一个很自然的语句了。
10. 准确使用单词的动词形式或者形容词形式
xxx do not aggregate until aprocess mature. mature可用作动词，表示在一个过程成熟过程中，xxx都没有聚集；
xxx do not aggregate until aprocess is mature. mature作为形容词，表示在一个过程成熟之前，xxx都没有聚集，虽然只有细微差别，但是背后的科学过程是不同的。
