不知道大家有没有遇到过这种情况？
文章投稿几个月后终于收到了主编回信，审稿决定却有点说不清道不明，既不是accept，也不是revision requested，也不像 reject，难道还有一线希望?
你需要了解 decision letter 的话外音！
以下面这篇 decision letter 为例：
这篇 decision letter，主编的回复意见是“I regret to inform you thatyour manuscript in its present form is not acceptable..."即文章没有被接收，但主编也没有完全拒稿，因为信中又提到“If you wish to resubmitthis manuscript，you must...”即修改文章，撰写逐点回复函后再resubmit。
当这种情况出现在投稿回复函时，意味着作者的文章在这本杂志的发表的可能性很小，但不是完全拒稿，因此如果按审稿意见修改或许还有一线希望。
这类还存有一线希望的拒稿信，常见的表达方式还有:
I hope the information provided will be helpful when you reviseyour manuscript.
It is not possible to consider you manuscript in its current form.
The reviewer's comments are not entirely negative.
I regret the outcome has not been favorable at this time.
不努力不可能有结果。如果作者碰到上述情况，且暂时没有更好的杂志选择，可以根据审稿意见仔细修改重投，或许会有正面的结果发生。
那么，完全拒稿的表达是怎样的?
以下是范例:
We cannot publish your manuscript.
We wish you luck in publishing your results elsewhere.
Your study does not contain novel results that merit publication inour journal.
We appreciate your interest in our journal. However, we will notfurther consider your manuscript for publication.
如果收到的decision letter 里主编提到这些话，作者则需要考虑把文章改投其他杂志了。
以下是修改稿回答审稿人的意见模板

We have made correction according to the Reviewer’s comments.
We have re-written this part according to the Reviewer’s suggestion As Reviewer suggested that......
Considering the Reviewer’s suggestion, we have ......
