Western University is one of the six major Canadian universities that were established in  1878 ranked among the top 1% of highereducation institutions worldwide. It has about 40,000 students, including 4,000 international students and 7,000 graduate students. The Engineering Programs have 3,000 students including 600+ masters and PhD students.

Prof. Ying Zheng is a professor and a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Chemical Reaction and Intensification with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Western University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. Her research interests lie in the field of catalysis and catalytic processes for clean energy innovations. New catalytic materials along with catalytic processes are developed for application in CO2 utilization, N2 fixation, H2 production, and clean/biofuel upgrading.
