弹指⼀挥间，我已经从华⼤ Olin 商学院 PhD Program 毕业七年了（which means 误⼈⼦弟整整七年了）。今年 COVID 疫情结束，终于时隔 5 年有机会重回母校风景如画的校园。感慨万千欲辩忘⾔之际，却得知 OlinOM PhD 项目 22 Fall 只⼊学⼀个新同学，⽽ 23 Fall 竟⼀个新同学都没有！
为延续师门香⽕，在此隆重推荐⼀下这个把我引⼊ Operations Management（OM）⼤门的 PhD 项目。
Olin 这个项目叫 Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology (SCOT), 后⽂我还是叫 OM 项目。
招⽣⼈数：⼤概率会发 4-5 个 offer，in expectation 2 个⼈左右 join。
Stipend：23 Fall ⼊学的同学是 USD 40K/year，在 St. Louis ⽣活毫⽆压⼒。
At Olin, faculty members in supply chain, operations, manufacturing management and technology have strong engineering backgrounds.
Their research investigates a broad spectrum of issues, especially areas with strategic and tactical implications.
Recently, the emphasis has focused on exciting issues in supply chain management, including global supply chain design; vendor-managed inventory practices; collaborative forecasting; sourcing contracts; dynamic pricing and revenue management; marketing/operations interfaces; information distortion and "bullwhip" effects; information technology uses for improved supply chain performance; inventory management; design and control of queuing systems; and time-based competition and mass customization.
The Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology group focuses its research efforts using quantitative models and analysis to address issues dealing with real-life problems in industry and service organizations.
PhD students benefit from the close collaboration that occurs in both teaching and research at Olin.

23-24 学年⼀个重要 Update：
我的 coauthor & friend, Prof. Dennis Zhang（http://denniszhang.org/）担任新的 Olin OM PhD Coordinator，负责 PhD 项目 admission，curriculum，qualify exam，studentmentorship, etc.。所有见过 Dennis 简历的⼈都会惊叹于他尚不漫长的职业⽣涯与极其丰富且⾼质量学术成果之间的反差；⽽所有和 Dennis 近距离接触过的⼈，则会清晰感受到简历只能反映他⽜逼的（很）⼀小部分。只说⼀些和同学们最相关的 Dennis 学⽣ 22-23 学年 Job Market placement 吧。
Bing Bai， Olin OM PhD，去了 McGill OM 做 AP（并拿到 HBS，Northwestern Kellogg flyout，因收到 fly-out 邀请在接受 McGill offer 之后未能成⾏）。
Zikun Ye， UIUC IE PhD，实现 2 周前还考虑 23-24 OM Market，两周后却已经搞定 UWFoster Marketing AP ⼯作的圈内神话。
之前和 Dennis 有合作但不是 main advisor 的学⽣也有 place 到 UPenn Wharton Marketing 和Imperial College OM 做 AP 的 track record。
