Instructions for authors
About the Journal
Catalysis Reviews: Science and Engineering is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Catalysis Reviews: Science and Engineering accepts the following types of article: original articles.
Catalysis Reviews publishes state-of-the-art critical reviews on subjects related to heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis.
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to one of the Executive Editors, Alexis Bell, UC Berkeley, alexbell@berkeley.edu, or Kamil Klier, Lehigh University, kk04@lehigh.edu. The following documents are required: (1) cover letter addressed to one of the Executive Editors, naming the corresponding author, stating compliance with conditions listed below, and suggesting potential referees with their affiliations and e-mail addresses; (2) abstract; (3) manuscript in the latest Word and PDF formats with tables and figures appearing close to where they are first mentioned in the text; (4) separate file with figures (cf. section Figures below).
Authors must submit a cover letter, which may be attached to the submission e-mail as a separate document – e-mail itself is not acceptable as a cover letter. It is beneficial to the review process if authors recommend names, addresses, and e-mails of potential referees in the cover letter. However, the Editors may or may not use any of the recommended referees in addition to their own, including members of the CR-SE Editorial Board.
Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts electronically in Word format or LaTeX format with a PDF.
