Author Guidelines
NEWS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUSCRIPTS RECEIVED FROM 24 MARCH 2015
- Sending the manuscript to the web application in pdf (not in word)
- Sending the manuscript in English or Spanish. If sent in Spanish and is accepted for publication the author will be translated into English. The printed version will have all articles in English and the online version, at the request of the author may also have the Spanish version.
- 200 euros (+ tax) charged to the author by publishing costs, once accepted and before publication

1) GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. Type of manuscripts
Annals of Psychology [Anales de Psicologia] publish manuscripts in all areas of psychology. Manuscripts must be original and have not been published totally or partially in other journals.
Authors can submit to this journal: (a) Original manuscripts for publication, and/or (b) to propose a special issue. See details in the section of Structure and organization of the different types of manuscripts.

The copyright of this journal is to the “Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia” (Murcia University Press).

Once a manuscript has been accepted, it means that the author or authors transfer copyright to the publisher.
In all cases the Editorial Team understands that the opinions expressed by authors are their exclusive responsibility.
1.3. Commitment of authors:
The authors accept the following commitments when a manuscript to this journal is submitted.
The person submitting the manuscript acts in representation of all authors.
Neither the manuscript nor any version or translation of it has been published in any other media or journal.
The manuscript has not been submitted to any other publication or journal, and will not be sent during the process of evaluation in Annals of Psychology [Anales de Psicologia].
Breach of any of these commitments will result in the automatic removal of the manuscript.

2.1. Presentation format and publication charge for authors
Language: The manuscript can be written in English or Spanish. If the work is accepted, it must be translated into English for publication. All articles will be published in English in the printed version. In the online version it can also be published simultaneously in Spanish, as long as the authors request it.
Journal style for manuscripts: APA style, from Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th edition, 2020 (https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/index)
Style for empirical manuscripts: The authors of empirical work must follow the recommendations in Statistical Methods in Psychology Journals: Guidelines and Explanations, from Wilkinson and the APA Task Force on Statistical Inference, published in the journal American Psychologist (1999, 54,594-604) which is available on https://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/releases/amp-54-8-594.pdf. They must report confidence intervals and measures of effect size for all statistical results.
Digital format: The paper will be sent for evaluation as a PDF document. Once accepted for publication in the journal, you will send the final version in Microsoft Word for Windows, in order to facilitate the layout of the printed edition.
Maximum length of work: it should not exceed 8000 words including all sections listed below according to the type of contribution.
