Guide for Authors
Interdisciplinary in its coverage, Advances in Applied Mathematics is dedicated to the publication of original and expository articles on all aspects of applied mathematics. The journal features articles on discrete applied mathematics, statistics, mathematical biology, dynamical systems, algorithms, experimental mathematics, and theoretical computer science.
Emphasizing papers that represent a substantial advance in their field, the journal is an excellent source of current information for mathematicians, computer scientists, applied mathematicians, physicists, statisticians, and biologists. Over the past ten years, Advances in Applied Mathematics has published research papers written by many of the foremost applied mathematicians of our time.
Types of paper
Advances in Applied Mathematics will publish papers in any area of applied mathematics. Particular regard is given to papers that represent a substantial advance in their field and which are stylistically attractive. It is recommended that papers be preceded by an introduction outlining the state of the subject and the relevance of the results presented. Well-written expository surveys are also published.

Submission of Manuscripts
Clarity of exposition, readability, and timeliness of the contents are the prime criteria in accepting papers submitted for publication. Original papers only will be considered. Manuscripts are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work has not been and will not be nor is currently submitted elsewhere, and that its submission for publication has been approved by all of the authors and by the institution where the work was carried out; further, that any person cited as a source of personal communications has approved such citation. Written authorization may be required at the Editor's discretion. Articles and any other material published in Advances in Applied Mathematics represent the opinions of the author(s) and should not be construed to reflect the opinions of the Editor(s) and the Publisher.
