About the Journal
All Life is an Open Access international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Open Access means you can publish your research so it is free to access online as soon as it is published, meaning anyone can read (and cite) your work. Please see our guide to Open Access for more information. Many funders mandate publishing your research open access; you can check open access funder policies and mandates here.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
All Life accepts the following types of article:
Primary Research, Reviews, Rapid Communications, Case Reports, Commentaries, Perspectives and Protocols

Authors submitting Protocol articles should select ‘Primary Research’ as the article type. Please mention in the cover letter that the article is a Protocol and insert the heading ‘Protocol’ at the beginning of the manuscript file.

Please see the Data Sharing Policy section below for full details of the journal’s Data Sharing Policy. Please see the Checklist: What to include section for details of the Data Availability Statement, which is required for all submissions. In addition, please note that:
The journal expects all raw data for a study to be made available in a repository, unless valid exceptions are explained in detail in the statement
If funding or institutional authorities do not permit data to be made available, this will need to be confirmed independently, and in writing, with the relevant authority.
Where studies include research on a combination of human subjects and/or animals and/or cell lines, if the human subjects’ data has ethical restrictions on availability, it is still expected that all raw data from the other parts of the study are made publicly available.
Provision of raw data does not mean that just figures and tables from the manuscript should be uploaded; it is the raw data that is required.
