Aims and scope
Focus and aims
International Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering provides a forum for engineers and scientists from a wide range of disciplines to present and discuss various phenomena in the utilization and preservation of ocean environment. Without being limited by the traditional categorization, it is encouraged to present advanced technology development and scientific research, as long as they are aimed for more and better human engagement with ocean environment. Topics include, but not limited to: marine hydrodynamics; structural mechanics; marine propulsion system; design methodology & practice; production technology; system dynamics & control; marine equipment technology; materials science; underwater acoustics; ocean remote sensing; and information technology related to ship and marine systems; ocean energy systems; marine environmental engineering; maritime safety engineering; polar & arctic engineering; coastal & port engineering; subsea engineering; and specialized watercraft engineering.
About the journal
The official title of this journal is 'International Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering' and the abbreviated title is 'Int. J. Nav. Archit. Ocean Eng.'. Launched in 2009. IJNAOE is published 100% online through Elsevier platform in association with the Society of Naval Architects of Korea. This work was supported by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies Grant funded by the Korean Government. In addition to original, full-length, refereed papers, review articles by leading authorities and articulated technical discussions of highly technical interest are also published. The number of circulation of paper journal is about 110 institutions.
Types of paper
Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication: Research paper , Review Article, Technical Note.
Please ensure that you select the appropriate article type from the list of options when making your submission. Authors contributing to special issues should ensure that they select the special issue article type from this list.

Further considerations
• Manuscript has been 'spell checked' and 'grammar checked'
• All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa
• Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet)
• A competing interests statement is provided, even if the authors have no competing interests to declare
• Journal policies detailed in this guide have been reviewed
• Referee suggestions and contact details provided, based on journal requirements
