About the Journal
Journal of Computer Information Systems is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please see the journal's Aims & Scope for information about its focus and peer-review policy.
Please note that this journal only publishes manuscripts in English.
Journal of Computer Information Systems accepts the following types of article: original articles.
Note: JCIS does not accept letters of inquiry, abstracts, or topic proposals for for pre-evaluation of papers to determine their suitability for possible review/publication. Authors must review the JCIS Aims & Scope to see if their manuscript is a fit for the journal.
Originality: All manuscripts must be the authors’ original, unpublished work. The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Copyright: The copyright for JCIS is owned by the International Association for Computer Information Systems (IACIS). Authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer form upon acceptance of their manuscript.
Permissions: Permissions to use reprinted material, adapted material, and material owned by other parties are the sole responsibility of the authors.
Previous Research: Authors may NOT submit papers that have been published in conference proceedings without considerable changes from the earlier version. If a complete new version of such paper is submitted for consideration in JCIS, the authors must acknowledge its earlier version and source of publication. This must also be included in the final revised paper if the paper is accepted for publication.
Open Access

Preparing Your Paper
Structure
Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
Word Limits
Please include a word count for your paper.
A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 8000 words, inclusive of:
Abstract
Tables
References
Figure or table captions
Footnotes
Endnotes
Style Guidelines
Please refer to these quick style guidelines when preparing your paper, rather than any published articles or a sample copy.
Please use American spelling style consistently throughout your manuscript.
Please use double quotation marks, except where “a quotation is ‘within’ a quotation”.
Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.
Title Length: The manuscript title must not exceed ten (10) words.
