AIM OF APMIS
The aim of APMIS is to publish papers reporting scientific studies within the fields of pathology, microbiology and immunology, and related areas of modern biomedicine. APMIS is published monthly and has subscribers worldwide. The journal is covered by Biological Abstracts/BIOSIS, ADONIS, Current Awareness in Biological Sciences/CABS, Science Citation Index, SCI-SEARCH, Research Alert, Medical Documentation Service, Current Contents: Life Sciences, CAB International. APMIS is an international journal and will accept papers from all over the world.
Publication Ethics
APMIS is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to the ethical guidelines set fourth by COPE.
APMIS Ethical guidelines:
Authorship of the paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the submitted manuscript. Transparency about the contributions of authors is encouraged.
Originality and plagiarism: The authors must ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted.
Data access and retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review and should be prepared to provide public access to such data. This is covered under the Data Availability Statement.
Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication: An author must not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one primary publication. APMIS Journal does not view the following uses of a work as prior publication: publication in the form of an abstract; publication as an academic thesis; publication as an electronic preprint.
Acknowledgement of sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must be stated within the manuscript.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest: All submissions must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest.
Fundamental errors in published works: If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the APMIS editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
