惊蛰春雷响，万物皆兴旺。这春风和煦，草木萌发，万物蓬勃盎然，充满朝气与希望的季节，是审慎筹划的季节。为全面提升我市小学英语教育教学质量，增强教师教学基本功，强化语音培训效果，优化教师语音素养，教师教育发展服务中心陈儒亭主任精心组织了首届全市小学英语教师“英语朗读者”评比展示活动。
英语的美如何呈现？英语教师的魅力如何体现？教英语首先应该教好什么？学英语首先应该学好什么？让我们回归本真，朔源而上！
语言之美主要体现在语音的准确性和节奏的韵律感，只有在朗读中，在自然地道的语流里才能更好地展示出清晰规范的语音和抑扬顿挫的节奏，才能更好地体现出语言表达的准确、生动，贴切、入心。英语朗读通过重音、连读、节奏、语调等技巧把语言材料中的思想感情表达出来，作为教师，更要不断提高朗读水平。朗读在常规教学中对提高学生学习英语的兴趣起着至关重要的作用，因此，英语教师务必做到发音准确，语流流畅，语调自然，通过自身的良好示范潜移默化地帮助学生打好英语学习的基础。
本次活动的主题是“I am an English Teacher”，参与者主要包括近两年优质课和教学基本功等专业比赛的一等奖获得者及学科中心组成员等教师。36位老师经过精心的准备，或将自己的从教经历娓娓道来；或分享自己的教育感悟引人深思，形式多样的风格把我们带入了一个多彩的英语世界。

赵炎，曲阜市实验小学教师。教学中遵循“爱与尊重是教育的出发点”，注重从兴趣教学入手，使学生乐学、爱学。曾获济宁市教育教学工作先进个人、曲阜市优秀教师、曲阜市小学英语优质课和基本功比赛一等奖。
导语
教育是太阳底下最光辉的事业。坚持以学生为本，使学生在丰富多彩的课堂活动中习得语言。我爱学生，常陪他们聊天，打开他们的心扉，激发学生的学习兴趣，随时给予学生赞扬，再注入知识的清泉。重视英语作业的布置，减负、提质、增效。

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Zhao Yan, and I’m from Experimental Primary School. It’s a great honor for me to be here to share my thoughts with you.
It is believed that teacher is the most glorious occupation in the sun. We tend to use all kinds of beautiful words to praise a teacher, elegant, holy, devoted and so on. But I choose to be a teacher not for the glory, but for the dream. I wish I can help the students see another world, a world that they want to see. I can witness the growth of the students, growth that marked with happiness.
English is quite different from other subjects. English learning can not go without atmosphere. Especially learning so many new words by heart is really dull. So I make efforts to arouse the students' interest. I speak English as much as possible. To use my facial expressions and body language to make the students get the meaning easily. To arrange some interesting games and beautiful songs, too.
There is an old Chinese saying, “A student will believe in teaching only when he gets close to his teacher”. Therefore the teacher should build a good relationship with the students. So I treat them equally and make the students feel that they are as important as any other students. I always communicate with the student, and make friends with them. Besides, praise can help students build confidence. At school, I always give more encouragement to the students. Such as “Good job”, “Well done”, “You are so clever”, “Wonderful.”
Homework plays an important role in English learning. However, most of the students are not willing to do homework. Therefore, I offer different kinds of homework to meet the students’ need. Let the students make a free choice according to their own abilities. They can make a booklet with painting and write some words or sentences in it. I also design a kind of homework that each student says one sentence to the teacher every day. It could be a greeting, a question or a proverb. That’s interesting and practical.
What makes a good English teacher? What should a teacher do? Being a teacher is not only to teach the students knowledge, but also to teach them to learn many things by themselves .So I will get wide knowledge and try my best to improve myself!
